Hill
is a decorated Foreign Service officer who has worked for or been
associated with a number of leading universities and conservative
organizations, including the Project for the New American Century
and the Hoover Institution. His work has focused on foreign policy
issues in Asia and the Middle East.
Hill
has collaborated on several writing projects with former U.N. Secretary-General
Boutros Boutros-Ghali. He worked on Boutros Boutros-Ghali’s
1997 book Egypt's Road to Jerusalem and was the principal editor
of a three-volume collection The Papers of Secretary-General Boutros
Boutros-Ghali, Yale Press, 2003. (1), (4) Hill also was one of several
Yale faculty members who contributed to The Age of Terror, which
was published by Basic Books soon after the Sept. 11, 2001 terror
